Having a Big Party: The National Party Conventions
Big arenas are typical locations for the national conventions of the two major parties in the United States, which are held every four years.
This year the Tampa Bay Times Forum, an arena in Tampa, Florida will host the Republican National Convention from August 27 to August 30. The Democratic National Convention will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, from September 4 to September 6.
